1. Identity of the Data Controller
Pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ('KVKK'), your personal data may be processed by Fitmio App ('Company' or 'Data Controller') within the scope explained below.
2. Processed Personal Data
In order to provide our services, the following categories of personal data are processed:
- Identity and Contact Data: E-mail address, user display name.
- Physical and Health Data: Age, height, weight, daily step count, calories burned, and water intake records.
- Device and Usage Data: IP address, device type, operating system version, and app usage logs.
3. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes in accordance with the conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK:
- Creating and managing user accounts.
- Calculating personalized health and fitness goals (e.g., TDEE, hydration needs).
- Providing the gamification features, such as leaderboards and multiplayer friend battles.
- Improving the app performance and resolving technical issues.
Your health data (steps, calories) retrieved via Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect is processed solely to provide app functionality and is NEVER sold to third parties.
4. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared with third parties under the conditions set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK:
- Service Providers: Data is securely stored using global cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase) essential for our services.
- Legal Authorities: Data may be shared with legally authorized public institutions upon valid legal requests.
5. Method and Legal Basis of Data Collection
Your personal data is collected electronically via your inputs into the Fitmio application and automated syncing with health APIs (if granted permission). The legal basis for processing is the necessity of processing for the performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c) and explicit consent for health data (KVKK Art. 6).
6. Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed.
- Request information if your personal data has been processed.
- Request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed.
- Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data.
- You can delete your account entirely at any time through the App Settings.
